The ups and downs of the last week notwithstanding, emerging market equities have comfortably outperformed developed markets over the last 18 months or so. More importantly, given their respective valuations, I would argue emerging market equities could still offer more bang for your buck than their developed market counterparts in 2018 - just as long as investors tread carefully and gain exposure to the right sectors.
