The music world has produced many so-called supergroups down the years, from Cream to Crosby, Stills & Nash - & Young - to the Traveling Wilburys. And indeed, depending on your taste, McBusted. At their best, these groups offer more than the sum of their parts and several fund management firms are attempting such harmonisation as we see mega-mergers reshape the UK's investment industry.
