Rewind 12 months and not many of us could have predicted the outcomes we have seen over the last year.
If we had asked 100 economists, actuaries or other such professionals what their expectations were for 2008 we might expect a wide ranging set of views, but how many would've been anywhere near accurate? One thing is for sure though - there is considerable uncertainty and we have experienced the downfall of many brands that couldn't have been predicted.
