At around this time each year my family starts asking me "what would you like for Christmas?" Usually I say "Oh I don't really want anything - a bottle of whisky or a bottle of brandy will do nicely."
But this year I am feeling a little more adventurous and will write a letter to the one person who can perhaps make a Christmas wish come true. Dear Santa, It has always amazed me how you manage to fly the whole way around the world in one evening, deliver so many presents to different houses, drink yourself silly on sherry and eat millions of mince pies and, unlike Royal Mail, always deliver the parcels on time.
