There are many reasons to hold your head high as a financial adviser - helping clients secure their financial future coming top of the list.

News that a survey showed that the overwhelming majority of advisers support an increase in professional standards is further cause to be proud of our profession. The fact that these latest findings from Ernst & Young show such unequivocal support among advisers gives me great hope for where we are heading as a profession. The poll, commissioned by the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Personal Finance Society, was conducted in September and set out to gauge advisers' views on the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).
