Shackleton Advisers (Shackleton) is to acquire Aberdein Considine Wealth, trading as AC Wealth, from its existing shareholders in a deal that adds £800m in AUM and significantly expands its presence in Scotland.
The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, will see 40 employees join Shackleton, including 14 FCA-authorised and regulated financial advisers. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Shackleton said its Scottish AUM would stand at about £1.3bn and it will now have offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, while maintaining local representation in Perth and Stirling.
