FCA reveals 13 firms applied for targeted support authorisation

A total of 13 firms have applied for Financial Conduct Authority targeted support permissions since the authorisation gateway opened, according to a response to a Freedom of Information request from Professional Adviser.

This is up from the seven firms that had applied to offer targeted support as of 26 March. Additionally, the FOI revealed that seven firms have been granted authorisation: Royal London, Vanguard, Quilter, Legal & General, Zopa Bank, Monzo and Aviva. Meanwhile, no firms have applied for targeted support authorisation and been rejected yet. The FCA initially estimated that around 96 firms will go on to offer targeted support.
