The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld complaints against five firms promoting gold and precious metals products.
The regulator published rulings against Tarvos, Sourced Consultancy, Rosland Capital, Montford Group and Fortore today (10 June), concluding that all five firms had breached advertising rules by failing to adequately communicate investment risks in social media promotions. The investigations form part of a broader ASA initiative targeting unregulated investments, with the regulator using its Active Ad Monitoring system, which deploys artificial intelligence to proactively identify potentially non-compliant online advertising.
