Global tracker funds most popular products ahead of 5 April

Global tracker funds were the most popular products among ISA holders seeking to take advantage of tax-free investment before the 5 April deadline, according to Hargreaves Lansdown.

The data covering 30 March to 3 April showed evidence of strong demand for low-cost, diversified products, alongside specific areas including technology, precious metals and space. Investors "piled-in" to funds such as Fidelity Index World, Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap index and HSBC FTSE All World index to top up before losing their 2025/26 allowance, Hargreaves Lansdown noted. Other popular funds included "perennial favourite" Artemis Global Income, Legal & General Global Technology index trust and Schroder Managed Balanced.
