Caring responsibilities often mean women have less left to put aside

Castlefield partner Olivia Bowen sat down with PA to discuss why there is a gender ISA gap and how advisers help to close this.

Research has often cited women's nature as the barrier to investing: women are less confident with investing, women are more cautious and women are less likely to take risks. These are just some of the justifications cited following findings that women generally invest less, resulting in lower stock and shares ISA funds. Bowen, however, said this is a narrative she has "not found to be true".
