Aberdeen Adviser has appointed Richard Denning as CEO, succeeding Noel Butwell who announced his decision to step down from the role earlier this month.
Denning has worked in the advice sector for more than 20 years, holding several senior roles across client, distribution and operations. Denning has joined from M&G where he has been CEO of its wealth platform, prior to which he had been chief operating officer (COO) at Aegon UK. He was also one of the founders of the Novia platform. M&G has now replaced Denning and has appointed Tom Bischler as CEO of the firm's platform business. His appointment comes after Noel Butwell announced his decision to step down earlier this month.
