An artificial intelligence (AI) plug in for wealth management firms in the US points to a collaborative approach with financial advisers in the immediate future and could signal the start of a “golden age of digital advice”, according to Ian Mckenna.

He said while consumer research has showed that the public wants advice with human support, the latest launch from Anthropic – the AI provider behind Claude Cowork, Claude Code and Opus 4.6 model – pointed to the tech firm working in partnership with human advisers in the immediate future.  McKenna, founder of Financial Technology Research Centre (FTRC), said the launch could signal the "dawning of a golden age in digital advice".  The plug in, launched earlier this week, was unveiled alongside news of a partnership with LPL Financial, a US-based 30,000-strong adviser firm and Orion w...
