Amber River agrees sale to Stone Point Capital

Deal to close in summer with Penta Capital still onboard as ‘key investor’

Private equity (PE) firm Stone Point Capital is to buy advice firm Amber River for an undisclosed sum.

Following the deal, Amber River confirmed that current owner Penta Capital will remain onboard as a "key investor". "Founding private equity investor Penta Capital's deep financial services expertise and willingness to invest in the group's capabilities, team and infrastructure have been fundamental in supporting the Amber River journey to deliver strong sustainable growth, and they are remaining onboard as a key investor," the press release set out.
