AJ Bell names advised platform managing director

Billy Mackay retires from his role as Mark Rendle is appointed

AJ Bell has appointed Mark Rendle as managing director of its advised platform business, effective from 1 May 2026.

Rendle's appointment comes as current managing director of AJ Bell's advised platform business Billy Mackay is set to retire. Meanwhile, Shaun Yates will take over as managing director for the D2C platform, having been at AJ Bell since 2010, most recently serving as strategy director, responsible for the strategic direction of the platform's proposition for retail investors.
