Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) has ended the search for its next CEO, appointing Vanguard’s Matt Benchener to the top job.
Benchener leaves his role as managing director and head of Vanguard's Personal Investor division, a role he held for just over five years. Benchener originally joined Vanguard in 2008 and worked his way up through the company, holdings roles including Vanguard Personal Investor chief marketing officer. He will join HL in March this year for a handover period with current interim CEO Richard Flint and will take over the role fully in July, if approved by the regulator.
