WBR Group launches IHT calculator ahead of rule changes

Will provide three-stage estimation of a client’s potential IHT liability

WBR Group (WBR) has unveiled an inheritance tax (IHT) calculator for clients of financial advisers.

The calculator was developed by the small self-administered scheme (SSAS) specialist in response to "forthcoming changes" in IHT and pension legislation. It will provide a three-stage estimation of an individual or couple's potential IHT liability both today, in April 2026 when the business property relief (BPR) and agricultural relief (APR) changes take effect, and in April 2027 when new rules for unused pensions are introduced. The calculator will also allow advisers and clients to start planning with a longer-term perspective, which WBR said is needed as a result of the 2024 Budget...
