Finli prepares 'sizable' acquisition as leadership transition gets underway

Acquisition will bring in more younger advisers, Finli outgoing CDO says

Finli is lining up a “sizeable” acquisition alongside a series of smaller deals as part of its growth strategy, with chief distribution officer Simon Goldthorpe stepping back from day-to-day responsibilities and Calum Brewster, former Brown Shipley CEO, set to join as chief commercial officer on 4 November.

Speaking exclusively to Professional Adviser, Goldthorpe revealed the firm, having completed 51 acquisitions in just three years, is continuing to push forward at pace. "We've got a sizable acquisition coming up, and a number of smaller ones in the pipeline," he said. "It's really quite helpful and we're very excited about it. "The acquisition will bring more assets under management, younger advisers and great enthusiasm, but it won't take the company in a different direction. Cultural fit remains central to how we grow."
