Octopus Investments names Erin Platts as CEO

Platts will also continue to lead Octopus Ventures in dual role

Octopus Investments has appointed Erin Platts as its CEO, subject to approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.

Platts, who has led Octopus Ventures since January 2025, will take on a dual role overseeing both Octopus Investments and Octopus Ventures, two of Octopus Group's core businesses. Octopus Investments is the UK's largest provider of venture capital trusts (VCT) and Business Relief-qualifying investments. Meanwhile, Octopus Ventures is a venture capital investor, backing more than 200 early-stage businesses including Zoopla, Secret Escapes and Depop.
