FSCS hit with more than 600 claims against fallen Forthplus Pensions

SIPP provider has now been declared failed

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has had 644 claims against failed self-invested personal pension (SIPP) provider Forthplus Pensions.

In an update posted yesterday (22 July), the FSCS confirmed that the Manchester based SIPP provider has been declared in default. The lifeboat fund said that it has completed its investigation into the firm and it is currently finalising the claims process. In January 2022, the FSCS encouraged clients of Forthplus Pensions to bring claims against their financial advisers and started to accept claims against it to assist with its investigations.
