Chancery Lane Research, a subsidiary of Chancery Lane Income Planners, has launched an initiative to help advisers build knowledge and increase confidence on using investment trusts for retirement income.
It said the education push would help planners get to grips with building drawdown portfolios for reliable inflation-matching income. Chancery Lane said it had been supported by a range of leading managers and the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) to "reposition trusts in the adviser community as a powerful tool for generating sustainable retirement income". It believes there's a need for more education in the advice sector to counter the "marketing budgets of the big open-ended asset managers" and to support investment trusts following the "challenges of the last few years". ...
