FSCS declares Kent firm failed over investment advice

Apollo Pension & Investment Advisers is no longer trading

Kent-based Christopher Barker, trading as Apollo Pension & Investment Advisers, has been declared failed by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) relating to investment advice.

The firm is no longer authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has not been permitted to carry out regulated activities since 5 June 2025. The FSCS confirmed to Professional Adviser that Apollo Pension & Investment Advisers was declared in default on Friday last week (6 June) when the first claim was upheld. It has received five claims against it so far relating to investment advice.
