FSCS' Independently East investigation nears completion

Advice firm entered liquidation in 2023

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has confirmed that its investigation into advice firm Independently East is now nearing completion.

This update by the lifeboat fund yesterday (18 February) stated that it has been working closely with third parties to consider available information, which has "helped its investigation and given us an understanding of the firm and its operation". "Our analysis will help confirm whether or not valid claims exist for eligible customers, although there is still some work to do. When our investigation is complete claims will start to be worked by one of our assessment teams," the FSCS said.
