Providers yet to have 'cracked' retirement products

Retirement advice becoming more important with ageing demographic

Advisers are yet to see anyone crack retirement products, Schroder Investment Solutions (SIS) chief investment officer (CIO) Philip Chandler has said.

The newly appointed CIO said that from feedback that he has heard, it seems that providers out there can do more.  "There is big theme around retirement and income, which is becoming more important as you have an aging demographic and you have more advisers with clients that are now at or through retirement," he explained. "We have products there already, but can we do more? I keep being told by advisers that they don't think anyone's cracked it."  "It is the phrase that people keep repeating to me, so it has to be considered: what can we do better."  Chandler spoke to PA...
