An adviser has flagged that they have been waiting 14 months so far for a response from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

In our latest PA Asks, we asked the industry how well the FOS has been performing for them at the moment. This comes as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the FOS outlined proposals for modernising the Ombudsman after chancellor Rachel Reeves's Mansion House speech. For the 30% out of our 33 respondents who said they are not happy with current performance, one pundit said that they are awaiting a response on a complaint that was referred to an Ombudsman 14 months ago.
