NextWealth says 41% of advisers expect to increase MPS use next year

Model portfolio services (MPS) have outperformed the platform market by expanding 9% in the year to 30 September 2023, according to NextWealth’s MPS Proposition Comparison Report 2023.

Assets in discretionary MPS grew 12% during the period compared to a 9% growth rate for adviser platforms over the same period. Meanwhile, assets in discretionary MPS grew 14% year-on-year to Q3 2023, compared to the 9% growth in the same period for adviser platforms. NextWealth said 41% of financial advice professionals use discretionary MPS and 24% expect to increase their use in the next 12 months.
