It's been one of those ‘will he, won't he' weeks again when it comes to one of the government's favourite political footballs - pensions taxation.

It was reported last weekend that prime minister Rishi Sunak had drawn up plans to scrap inheritance tax (IHT) though he has since said he would "never comment" on the issue. Our most popular story this week was an industry reaction the rumours - you're positive, but you are also taking it with a pinch of salt. With the budget still more than a month away there isn't much to say on this. Whispers about pension tax are, sadly, rarely accurate. Elsewhere, new statistics from HM Revenue & Customs this week show a significant uptick in the number of people breaching annual allowance and life...
