Dow Schofield Watts acquires HNW-focused adviser business

STS Europe becomes part of DSW's tax practice

Financial advice business Dow Schofield Watts (DSW) has expanded its tax practice with the acquisition of a Lancashire company that specialises in advising high-net-worth (HNW) clients.

DSW bought Burscough-based STS Europe, a firm which advisers clients including UK-resident non-domiciles on issues such as inheritance tax, trusts and offshore structures. Owner Andy Sharp has retired from the business. STS Europe became part of DSW Tax Advisory, DSW's tax practice. The firm said it would remain in its Burscough office and operate as DSW STS. STS director Andrew Robinson has been named a partner in DSW Tax Advisory.
