Financial Vulnerability Taskforce has issued a ‘Good Practice Guide’ for advisers to support bereaved clients.

This is the latest in a series of guides for financial advisers and planners based on the life events identified by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as drivers of vulnerability. The new guide contains more than 30 practical ideas on how to support clients before, at and after bereavement. It also signposts to almost 100 sources of relevant third-party support. The guide aims to help firms consider their ability and obligation to prepare their clients before a death, as well as support them appropriately afterwards.
