Spent a decade at the FCA

Rory Percival, regulatory expert and former Financial Conduct Authority technical specialist, has retired.

After winding down over the past three years, he said he attended his last board meeting this month. Percival worked in financial services regulation for more than 15 years, first at the Financial Services Authority then at its successor the FCA before leaving the world of regulatory bodies to set up his own consultancy in 2016. His time as technical specialist at the FCA involved working with suitability of advice, centralised investment propositions, risk profiling, the introduction and implementation of the Retail Distribution Review and platform use by intermediaries.
