Some 18 months on from the fastest market sell-off in history markets are not quite 'robust' but recovery has been impressive, writes Darius McDermott. While we aren't on the cusp of a 'meldown' there is nervousness in the air. Here he outlines five funds for a potential cool down

It's now 18 months since we witnessed the fastest market sell-off in history. Since then, we've seen global equities recover and post gains of some 50%, according to FE fundinfo, as central banks moved quickly to underpin markets. I wouldn't call markets robust by any means - but the recovery has been impressive. I recently read that the US economy is moving so quickly that forecasters are estimating it would expand by roughly 7% this year, with the S&P also hitting new record highs.
