Surrey financial planning firms merge and look to avoid minimum portfolio sizes

Newly launched wealth management firm Unique Wealth will target aspirational clients whose asset levels might see them overlooked by competitors.

Unique Wealth, based out of Weybridge in Surrey, is the new division launched as a result of a merger between Unique Financial Planning and a part of Bright Blue Wealth. Many adviser firms, due to higher business costs, have been forced to turn away from smaller client sizes. According to Bright Blue Wealth owner and founder Rhiannon Vallis, who alongside three Bright Blue Wealth advisers joins the ranks of more than 30 Unique FP advisers as part of the deal, it was more important for the business to focus on the level their clients would grow to in the future.
