Claims sharks who once flogged the deals they say are mis-sold Financial advisers are also setting up as claims management services, creating concerns that staff are recommending unwise investments and then further profiting from the payouts resulting from their bad advice, The Sunday Times reports. A freedom of information request by the Sunday paper found 30 advice firms also offer claims management for mis-sold investments, and another 15 previously authorised to give financial advice now offer only claims management.
