Orbis weighs third fund launch targeting first-time investors

Looks to offer ‘more holistic solution’

Orbis Investment Management is considering the launch of a third fund into the UK retail market aimed at savers who are looking to "dip their toe in the water of investing".

Orbis, which had solely served the institutional space until 2015, currently offers the Global Equity and Global Balanced funds to retail clients, but is considering a lower risk option to offer a "more holistic solution" to potential investors. Speaking to Professional Adviser's sister brand Investment Week, UK director of Orbis Dan Brocklebank (pictured) explained the firm's balanced fund, which blends equities and bonds, was launched in response to investors with lower risk appetite.
