Fundscape hires Aviva's Gavin Fielding for editorial director role

Research house Fundscape has appointed Gavin Fielding to the role of editorial director, hiring him from Aviva where he was investment research manager for the insurer's Strategic Partnership division.

Fielding, who spent 27 years at Aviva developing, researching and writing about investments, will continue to be based in York - in effect, creating a northern office for Fundscape. The firm's CEO Bella Caridade-Ferreira (pictured) said: "I am so pleased Gav is joining the Fundscape team - I have been waiting for someone like him for years. Not only does he have unparalleled knowledge of, and expertise in, investments and platforms, he is a data junkie who can write too. That is an exceptionally rare find."
