Professional Adviser's sister title Investment Week has unveiled the winners of the Investment Company of the Year Awards 2018, which included Baillie Gifford being named Group of the Year.

These awards recognise excellence in closed-ended fund management. They highlight investment companies that produce consistent performance and where there is, in the judges' opinion, a high likelihood investors will not be disappointed in the future. Chaired by award-winning freelance journalist Cherry Reynard, this year's panel comprised: James Carthew of Marten & Co; Simon Elliott of Winterflood Securities; Nick Greenwood of Miton; Jason Hollands of Tilney; David Holder of Morningstar; Anthony Leatham of Peel Hunt; and Simon Moore of Seven Investment Management.
