Tax-efficient firms EIP and Kin Capital to merge

Tax-efficient and venture capital firms Enterprise Investment Partners (EIP) and Kin Capital have revealed plans to merge, subject to regulatory approval.

The combined entity, which will use the name Kin Capital, will set out to offer a "complete package of services to venture capital, private equity and property funds". The "stronger and larger firm" said it would streamline investment processes to modernise the tax-efficient offering. The respective co-founders of Kin and EIP - Richard Hoskins and Christian Elmes - will lead the new business, which has collectively raised around £500m in the tax-efficient space, while EIP's other co-founder Martin Sherwood will continue in a part-time role.  "Our two businesses fit together perfectly,...
