Michael Cole-Fontayn formally elected CISI chairman

Two new directors also elected

Michael Cole-Fontayn has been formally elected as chairman of the CISI, succeeding Sir Alan Yarrow, who did not seek re-election after completing nine years in the role. The term of office is initially for three years.

After 35 years in financial services at BNY Mellon, Cole-Fontayn is currently chairman of the Association of Financial Markets in Europe, which he will continue doing alongside his role at the CISI. He is also founding director and advisory council member of the Financial Markets Standards Board, trustee of mental health charity the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, founding chairman of global programme the 30% Club and patron of Women in Banking and Finance.
