Thesis Asset Management has created a free decumulation guide for advisers, outlining the investment risks encountered and assessing popular strategies currently used in the market.

The white paper, entitled ‘Decumulation - the usual suspects: Sequencing risk and other unhelpful side-effects', follows the launch of the firm's Managed Income Service in April. According to Thesis, a lot of the discussion around decumulation has so far focused on understanding the risks in managing a pot in retirement. It noted, however, that much of the conversation had not moved beyond this to understand what can be done to mitigate these risks.
