Prestwood launches pensions planning tool for advisers

Prestwood Software has launched a pension planning tool that it claims can save hours of behind-the-scenes research for advisers.

Prestwood asked advisers what questions clients typically ask in pension-related meetings, and what information they need to answer them. The firm then built a tool that can then answer the questions, once information has been put into the system. The tool can give information on a client's personal and employer contributions, earnings, adjusted income, threshold income, pensionable earnings, annual allowances, lifetime allowance, lifetime allowance charging and crystallisation events.
