Adviser organises specialist DB transfer event in steelworks' shadow

Echelon Wealthcare managing director Alastair Rush has set up an event for advisers on defined benefit (DB) transfer best practice, set to take place next month in the steelworks town of Port Talbot.

The Great Pension Debate II will take place on 10 and 11 July at the Aberavon Beach Hotel in Port Talbot, south Wales. As the name suggests, it will be the second DB transfer-focused event Rush has organised. The first was a single-day event in Peterborough last June, which welcomed some 300 delegates. For this year's event, Rush said more time is needed on the subject, but acknowledged a similar number of people would not be able to attend. Instead he is prioritising advisers first and foremost, with paraplanners second, rather than hosting those from the wider financial services sec...
