PA360: Advisers must ask providers for the 'tech they want'

Advisers need to tell providers exactly what technology they want to use to best serve their clients, Mark Polson has said.

The lang cat principal and founder was speaking on a technology and innovation panel at Professional Adviser's inaugural annual conference, PA360. "I would like to see advisers stop consuming technology and see them drive what they want a little bit more," he explained. "Think long and hard what it is you want to offer clients and get the tech solution you want to fit. "These guys [providers] will find it a lot easier if you're clear on what you want and let them build it for you. I don't know a tech company that wants to build something no one will use."
