Specialist pension adviser and investment manager Tideway has said it has the capacity to take on additional British steelworker pension transfer cases over the next six weeks - if the member has a transfer value of at least £400,000.
By 22 December - 10 days from now - some 130,000 members of the British Steel Pension Scheme (BSPS) must have decided whether to move their defined benefit (DB) pension to a new scheme. The transfer deadline is now 26 January 2018. Tideway said it has the capacity to undertake additional cases over the next six weeks until the deadline, though members will need to engage with it by 22 December and be ready to complete the advice process by 15 January.
