Govt risks repeating 'WASPI mistake' with AE campaign, Boulding warns

The government's decision not to highlight auto-enrolment (AE) contribution increases in its new 'Get to know your pension' campaign risks leaving savers in the dark and leaves it up to providers to communicate the changes, Adrian Boulding has warned.

The new campaign from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) features a set of video advertisements starring a mixture of everyday people and celebrities including entrepreneur and former Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis and host of First Dates, Fred Sirieix. The adverts urge consumers to "get to know your pension" and explain to the audience that the employer pays in as well as the employee.
