The government was defeated in the House of Lords last night as peers demanded a ban on cold calling be included in the upcoming Financial Guidance and Claims Bill.
The House of Lords backed a cross-party amendment calling for pension cold calls to be banned by 253 voted to 205. The government had argued the move was outside the scope of the Bill being debated....
