Nearly three-quarters (72%) of UK adults aged between 35 and 54 have failed to make a will, research from Unbiased has found.

This figure was the most striking from its findings, the adviser directory business suggested, as this age group were most likely to have dependants and other major financial commitments, such as mortgages. More than a third (37%) of those aged 55 and over did not have a will either, the research found, while more than four-fifths (84%) of those aged 18 to 34 were in the same boat.
