UK businesses have become 'more ethical'

Professional Adviser's Armchair Critic Brendan Llewellyn has launched a report assessing the "largely unexplored narrative" of business ethics through consultancy Narrative Dynamics.

Dubbed "a fascinating, well-researched study" by The Economist, the report is based on "in-depth" conversations with business leaders from a number of sectors, including banking, retail and manufacturing. One of its key findings was that most leaders defined ethics in business as "doing the right thing" but were unable to explain what that meant. It also found business leaders were limiting their ethical ambitions to avoid "doing bad", rather than actively attempting to "do good".
