"Why have you been ignoring my emails?" I asked the chairman of the improbably-sized investment company Prandeamus Asset Management when I visited his office this week. "It's nothing personal," he replied.

"I've been ignoring everybody's emails." "Ah," I said. "Is that a good thing? I know people often think I'm ignoring their e-correspondence but for me it's just administrative ineptitude. Any reason you're doing this on purpose?" "Security, of course," blustered the chairman. "Why else?" "I prefer not to speculate," I replied. "But surely you're being overly cautious?
