Schroders CEO to step down but remain as chairman amid board reshuffle

Profits grow despite drop in inflows in 2015

In its latest set of results, Schroders has announced a number of senior changes to its board, including CEO Michael Dobson stepping down from his role, as well as global head of distribution Massimo Tosato retiring from the board.

In a widely expected move chief executive Dobson will step down from his role after nearly 15 years, to be replaced by Peter Harrison with effect from 4 April. Dobson has been CEO at Schroders since 2001, while Harrison re-joined Schroders in 2013, having worked there previously as a graduate and most recently worked as chief executive of RWC Partners. Dobson will remain at the firm as non-executive chairman, taking over from Andrew Beeson, who has been chairman for the last four years and a member of the board since 2004; he will retire on 4 April.
