Gregg McClymont joins Aberdeen Asset Management

Gregg McClymont, Labour's former pensions spokesman, has joined Aberdeen Asset Management as head of retirement savings.

His role will focus on defined contribution pensions strategy, the fund manager said, with a particular emphasis on 'new world' retirement following the introduction of pensions freedom and choice. McClymont was Labour MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East between 2010 and 2015. He lost his seat to the Scottish National Party in the May's general election but has remained involved in the pensions industry. McClymont said: "This is a crucial moment for pensions and savings.
