The government is seeking the public's views on what it would like to see in the Autumn Statement 2014, which will take place on 3 December. The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is looking again at a decision against self-invested personal pension (SIPP) provider Berkeley Burke that lawyers at the time called a "game changer" for the SIPP market. The Equity Release Solicitors' Alliance (ERSA) has issued an alert to advisers after it became concerned more could be advising consumers on the products "not fully aware of the requirements".
